The Broom & Dustpan
I've always been intrigued whenever i take a look at a broom and dustpan, as a collective. When we look at a broom and dustpan we often think about it as a household object, nothing more and nothing less. I chose to use a broom and dustpan to challenge myself and work with it as a form of art. While brainstorming, I did some research as well such as the history of the broom and dustpan to get a better understanding as well as different artists who tried to use the broom and dust pan as a form of art as well. Building Awareness / Visual Storytelling
The idea behind the book was to make the broom and dustpan the focal point without making it obvious. I wanted to showcase something relatable, funny, but still have some truth towards it. The idea was to create an 8 page short story that overall showcases a series of accidents. Accidents where they begin and seems never ending as our main character finds himself stuck in a never-ending series of accidents. Sketch ideas for book

Object Transformation
The process and thinking behind this visual piece was simple. Just thinking of ways we can sweep this pandemic. I wanted to follow suit with the same idea and theme of trying to sweep this global pandemic. I wanted to express and show how this pandemic is taking a toll on America and ripping America apart during a time where we should be standing united. We are utilizing our resources and unlocking funds in trying to restart social and economic life. Unemployment is at an all time high, and deaths across America is taking a huge toll as the virus continues to wear and tear down on America. The inspiration behind this piece was followed from another piece I made below.
